Collaborating to Prevent and Suppress Forest Fire
Wildfire and Mitigation Specialist from Australia, Robert Webb spent time with APRIL’s Kerinci Fire Fighting Team, the community at Desa (village) Sering, and non-governmental organization ( NGO ) to learn more about wildfire prevention and suppression measures in APRIL’s concession.
In Robert’s view, APRIL has done a good job in suppressing wildfire by having a professional and effective fire fighting team. He also highlighted contributions from the community through the Fire Free Village Program.
